Heavy fog and icy road conditions on the Ankara-Kırıkkale Highway in the Elmadağ area during the early morning hours led to more than 20 chain-reaction accidents. In December 1980, French anthropologist Victor Dallant visited eastern Türkiye’s Erzurum aboard the Eastern Express, capturing candid moments of children playing in the snow.
