Eyyüp Kadir Inan, outgoing chief of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) for the youth branch, says some 700,000 youth joined the party in the past four years and counted more than 1 million members between the ages of 18 and 30. Ayşe Barım, founder and partner of a renowned talent management agency, is in hot water again after her company faced monopolization charges in the sector. Barım was detained on Friday over allegations that she was one of the planners of the notorious Gezi Park riots in 2013, where terrorist groups joined angry demonstrators in Istanbul in a bid to oust the government. Seventy-one suspects linked to the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ) were captured in operations in 23 provinces, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Friday. Syria may seek Türkiye’s support in the fight against Daesh and other terrorists still active on its soil, according to its new leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa. “Daesh rejects all proposed solutions. Türkiye is ready to provide any support needed to resolve the dispute between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, should both countries seek it, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Thursday.
